This is the first process in which the oxide layer on the hot rolled sheets is cleaned with HCI acid and the edge cutting process is performed.

What is Steel Pickling?

Steel pickling occurs when carbon, black steel (among other metals) has impurities or stains removed. This process improves the surface condition of the coil.  A brief video displaying how the process works can be seen below.
